Media+Tech Innovation Challenge - Event Finals: March 5, 2021

Entering its 15th year, the Media+Tech Innovation Challenge is an industry case study competition between teams of students from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business, the University of Colorado Denver Business School, and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs College of Business. This competition is proudly sponsored by The Moxy Lab.

How the competition works: Teams of three will work on a case study that examines a real-world media and technology issue. Students will present their ideas in front of industry leaders and have an opportunity to win up to $7,500 in prize money. Students will be matched with mentors and have networking opportunities throughout the competition. Each university held a separate competition to determine the team that will represent their school in the Media+Tech Innovation Challenge Finals. The semifinal teams received $1,500 and the winning team will earn the $3,000 Grand Prize.

This year's Case Study challenges students to develop new video and data strategies in consideration of the pandemic and changing consumer behaviors. An extremely relevant topic for our times!

Teams will present their unique solutions to our esteemed judging panel and virtual audience. Please welcome the Media+Tech Innovation Challenge 2021 judges:

  • Allie Borg, VP of Product and Consumer Marketing, Comcast
  • Cheryl Davis, VP of Video Product, Spectrum
  • Ian Olgeirson, Research Director, S&P Global Market Intelligence
